Review: Solar Petal Light

Jun 28, 12 Review: Solar Petal Light

Baby, you light up my life. Well my garden actually. Look maybe we got off on the wrong foot. You see this is all about the Solar “Petal” light. You’ve probably seen a number of solar powered lights. I’ve even tried several at the house and haven’t been very impressed.

Mohzy swoops in (like an adorable superhero) to save the day. This maker of little clever products has just introduced the Petal, which is a well thought out and unmistakably cute solar powered light. There’s not much to it, it’s shaped like a big leaf with a bulb at the center and it’s available in Large or Small sizes. But it’s waterproof, completely idiot-proof and the more you put down, the better it looks. We sprinkled some around a garden and let them charge up during the day. At night they provide a unique illumination and look fantastic.

It’s nice to see someone break the mold. To make a eco-efficient, and cute as hell, solar light that doesn’t look like everyone else’s generic ‘light up your walkway’ type of thing. Once you get going you may not know when to stop. Available in sets of 3 (large 45$ small 35$) it’s not a bad deal. Use them to light up your garden, line your walk way, spruce up the yard. They are equal parts functional and pretty. Which we’re big fans of.

So if you’ve got bad lighting, an ugly yard, or simply are in the market for some solar powered lights for safety, decoration or a special project. These are a good way to go. Try out the Solar Petal Light and enjoy your adorable eco-superiority.
