Sprint Employee Referrals for All?
Having connections, high or low, provides some of the finer enjoyments in life. Whether it’s 10 cents off your frozen yogurt or a free trip to the moon, something about getting special treatment just makes you feel, well, special. Unfortunately, if you’re like me, the only connection you have is to the internet. So how can you still feel special?
Sprint’s VP of Strategy is here to help, provided that you’re looking to sign up for a new phone plan. His blog prominently advertises a link to the Everything Plus Referral Program, an exclusive program that requires you to be referred (duh) by a Sprint employee. Through the power of your connection to the internet, you have a connection to Russ S. McGuire, certified Sprint employee. Just enter his email (russ.s.mcguire@sprint.com) and employee id (383) and start feeling special today!
The program offers slightly more minutes and discounted plans in both individual and family packages. Sprint is also the only carrier to offer “truly unlimited” data plans, though there is an additional $30/month fee for tethering, which is capped at 5GB (bastards).
If you’re already prepping your credit card at this point, it might be wise to hold off until the release of the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, the first 4G LTE and Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.0) phone on Sprint. Sprint has committed to rolling out their LTE network, with plans to have over twice the coverage as their current WiMax network by the end of 2013. Currently, all 4G enabled phones on Sprint use WiMax exclusively – not exactly a sound, futureproof investment for the discerning consumer.
Of course, if you’d rather have the unmentionable device (I’m speaking, of course, about the iPhone) none of this should matter to you as it isn’t even capable of 4G. If that’s the case, feel free to take advantage of this program immediately and may god have mercy on your soul.
